Here we are again, I’m adding a photo taken through the periscope of HM/SM Taciturn in the early 1960’s. Not sure whose coastline this was. In those dark days of the cold war we spied on the Russians and they spied on us. Anyway its all history now! but maybe of interest to anyone who has never seen a photo taken through a periscope.
On the camper front we are off again on Wednesday morning to Digby Nova Scotia to look at another van. Its a long round trip of about 1000 klms. Hope it turns out better than the last trip when we viewed only rusty or too expensive vehicles. This van is a 1987 Ford Econoline raise roof, has a small block 302 engine with fuel injection and is rated at 20 mpg if driven easy. Its a nice van judging from the photos and originally came from Florida USA so rust should be minimum?? I’ll let you know if we buy it and will post photos, but not through a periscope?? Cheers
