Hi folks! about time I wrote another episode in my blog. Its already October7th and nothing new since Sept. I guess my life is dull. Linda was baby sitting for friends , up west , the last weekend. They have a parrot named Rudy, that’s the baby. Actually he’s quite a bird , doesn’t talk but has a lot to say for himself.
Still finding things to repair on the Dodge Campwagon. I’m not really looking for things, just keep finding them. A while back, I couldn’t get the spare wheel to lower. The winding mechanism was completely rusted out. That’s fixed now but the latest is the power steering. I was moving the van and discovered the P/S was noisy. The fluid had leaked out while the van sat. I traced the leak to a pin hole in the pump. Easy fix you say! Just replace the pump. I would , but for the fact its a major job. I would need to lower the main cross frame just to get the pump out. I have found , what I hope is a solution. I have thoroughly cleaned the area around the leak and will attempt to plug the hole with a product called Cold Weld. I’ve never tried this stuff before but hear good things about it. I’ll let you know the results once the job is done.
