No surprise here!!! but the PC’s did well gaining five seats. Not a powerful opposition but better than the last one. Looking closely at some of the PC’s candidates that didn’t win, the margins were quite small. Brad Trivers and Gary Bowness both did well coming very close to unseating the incumbents. Maybe next time guys! Finally congratulations to Olive Crane, she has done very good considering many of the Old Guard were hoping she’d fall on her face.

Good summary. Thanks Ben for your frankness is your election posts. For me it was a matter of time – another month of campaigning and I think I could have garnered enough support to win. At any rate the voters have sent the Liberal encumbents who did win by slim margins a clear message – shape up because many are displeased! Hopefully we’ll see improvement and this is one of the real benefits of opposition and close races. Olive and our new PC MLA’s are sure to hold the Liberals feet to the fire.
