Rovers – Lambretta’s

Wow!!! Owning both a Rover and a Lambretta this photo really impressed me. However, today I think the young mother would be arrested before she got very far, she isn’t wearing a helmet !!! Nicely dressed though and the baby looks happy sitting unrestrained in the pram. Probably weren’t any baby helmets or seat belts available in the sixties. The rear end of the passing Rover P5 looks nice while an Austin A40 and Ford Popular look on. Highway safety was obviously a non issue way back then, it makes one wonder how we survived.
