Erin go Bragh, (Ireland Forever) Lets celebrate all things Irish and continue to avoid the latest Harper/Del Mastro nonsense. The invitation card in this post was a highlight of my life. To be invited to lunch with the President of Ireland was something I never imagined possible. It was one of the proudest moments of my life. Mary McAleese, like me ,was born in the grimy back streets of Belfast. Admittedly she has achieved considerably more, but our common link is we are both Irish and both from Belfast. I have the added honour of having my book “Lily & Me” residing in the library at “Aras an Uachtarain” the presidential residence in Phoenix Park, Dublin. I don’t suppose it is on the shelves between priceless leather bound books by authors like Yeats,Shaw or Joyce. Nevertheless its in the area and that is my claim to fame!!!. Erin go Bragh.
