Remembering history but look to the future

While it is right and proper to remember our history, and today make a special note of the lives lost aboard Titanic. It is also equally important to keep a sharp eye on the future. Its unlikely and I certainly hope it doesn’t happen, but Romney could become the next Republican President of the USA. Combine him with our own Herr Harper and we could have a recipe for disaster far worse than Titanic. Romney has ultra fundamental Christian ideas. He has promised to re-criminalize abortion,outlaw same sex marriage,he sees enemies around the world, would not negotiate with the Taliban. He thinks Iran is the greatest threat to America,Harper thinks its the greatest threat to the world. Not sure how he views China, but has accused O’Bama of pandering to Beijing. Remember when Bush went into Iraq, Harper was the opposition at that time and was all for us jumping in. Prime Minister Chretien gave a firm no to Bush. If not approved by the UN, which it wasn’t, we would not be a part of it. I don’t want to think about the many Canadian lives that could have been lost if we had gone to Iraq
We could have very scary times ahead if Romney ever comes to power, and if we haven’t found the good sense to boot Harper out. Our young people should really give this serious thought. In the next election get out and vote, remember it wont be me they will send to war.
