Yesterday, Sunday 7th October the cruise ship MV Arcadia docked in Charlottetown for the day. Aboard were Bobby Weir and his wife Margaret. Bobby lived in the house opposite me on Ewarts Row in Belfast, Northern Ireland, back in the late forties early fifties. Bobby went on to serve in the RUC and rose to the rank of Chief Superintendent. I will have to make sure I don’t break any laws while he’s here. (By the way RUC – Royal Ulster Constabulary.)
My cousin Denis and his wife came down from Montreal for the weekend. We had a grand wee reunion talking about our youth, our football and the mischief we often got up to. It was a wonderful time with so many grand memories of our youth. Of course I don’t really need to mention this ,you will easily tell from the photos that I’m the youngest member of the trio. The other two are already 74 while I’m a very young 73!!!! I have posted two photos, one taken yesterday and one 60 years ago. Can you pick the three of us out of the team photo???? might be a big prize for the winner. Someone in Nigeria has just inform me I have a fortune awaiting , I just have to send them a $500 bank handling fee!!!
Cheers and keep reading.
