Liberals Sticking Together

I have to believe that Wayne Easter is planing to retire soon. He certainly isn’t concerned about votes in the next Federal Election. Easter is my MP (Lib) and is also the MP for the area in which Plan B is going through. He has just come out in support for the project. Duh!!!!
On a radio interview he stated his office phone is ringing constantly and the majority of calls are against the project. Smart move Wayne!!! support the Provincial Government when the vast majority of Islanders are opposed to the project. Support the Government when Islanders are camping in the path of the proposed road, some people have chained themselves to trees, other have made a peaceful nuisance of themselves, some have been arrested. Perhaps when he retires (which could be soon)he can write a book and call it “How to lose Elections for Dummies”.
Seriously though this is depressing, what have we come too when our elected officials ignore the cries of the people. What has become of Democracy, Government by the people for the people???? But do not despair another election will come around and these people can be dispatched to the rubbish dump where they belong. But take warning in the next election and look further than the two traditional party’s elect a few Greens and a few NDP, maybe even elect a lot.
