Canada defeated Cuba last night in a World Cup qualifier by a score of 3-0. But don’t get too excited, it was a poor game. If Canada manages to progress into the round of thirty two they will have to play a lot better than they did last night. Their scoring chances in front of goal was plentiful, but it was miss after miss. The game remained at 1-0 until late into the second half and Cuba were not playing well. Yet Canada could not capitalize on their advantage, very disappointing and the games will get progressively more difficult as or if they move ahead?

What’s your opinion on the Christine Sinclair suspension / fine?
Hi Brad Like Christine said after the game regarding the ref’s extremely unusual call “it was a travesty” I agree completely I have never seen a free kick given inside the goal area for that reason (goal keeper wasting time) a yellow card should have been the call. The fact that Wambach, capt of US team stood beside the ref counting down the seconds, she should have been red carded for attempting to influence the ref. It was disgraceful referring appearing to favour the US team.To now charge Christine is ridiculous FIFA needs to take a second look at the whole event leading to the penalty which saved the US from defeat. Regards Ben
