Our government go back to work today (not sure work is the key word). Ghiz tells us there are no big spending projects in his plans, we have to tighten our belts. He is going to discuss the implementation of the hated HST, if you are not familiar with this tax you soon will be, it comes into effect in April 2013. The bottom line, no matter what Sheridan tries to tell you, is we are going to be paying more in taxes. This government has plunged us into the biggest deficit in our history. To remedy it they forced Plan B on us at a cost of 24 million plus plus, its not done yet. They invested 4 million in a questionable internet gambling system (Geo Sweep), but can’t afford a new school in Souris. We are stuck with a closed down Hotel for which we tax payers are on the hook for some 16 million. The contractors that built the hotel are yet to be paid. Quite a record!!!!! Then to add insult Ghiz thought it would be a good idea to have a expensive glossy coloured photo of himself in an insert in Saturday’s Guardian. I assume it was to remind us that he was still our premier (day before remembrance day), rest assured Mr Ghiz you will be remembered!!!!! As will all your smiling cohorts that were included in your glossy poster.
On top of this we have Justin Trudeau campaigning for the leadership of the federal liberals here on PEI. Hell of a time for a liberal campaign son. Yes he is the son of a previous leader, just like our own son of a leader, Robert Ghiz . Not really a good example for a successful federal liberal comeback me thinks.
Sons of the Sons are coming out of the woodwork, now we have Jason Lee attempting to make waves within the provincial PC party. Surely we must have a daughter of a leader out there somewhere?????? Merry Christmas folks, last one before HST.
Not a bright future.
God Bless and keep reading.
