Not sure I have a particular stand on this subject, I do believe an abortion should not be carried out merely for convenience or as a form of birth control. I know as a man, abortion is not something I’m ever likely to need. That brings me to the situation in Ireland. I young woman recently died suffering from a miscarriage the hospital wouldn’t abort. The reason given by the hospital, this is a Catholic country we don’t do abortions. If this is actually what occurred there is something seriously wrong with the Irish Dept of health. Surely the patient comes first, if a life can be saved then it should be saved. Where does the Catholic church, or for that matter any religious group think they have the final say over life and death? To find the answer we need to ask the people who run the Catholic Church?? A young women died needlessly because of an archaic belief. I’m proud to call myself Irish, but this really makes me ashamed of my homeland
God Bless and keep reading.
