Barely 24 hours have passed since my last blog post in which I pointed out the ridiculous cost to taxpayers for MLA’s vehicles. Here we have a Finance Minister who just a few days ago dropped into the local Ford Dealership to buy a fancy new Ford Escape on the Taxpayers dime. He, along with other ministers and deputy ministers have squandered almost half a million dollars we don’t have on new vehicles over the last four years.
Yesterday in the house Sheridan rose to tell the members the provincial deficit had risen by another five million dollars. However, it was not his fault!!!!! it was due to a long hot summer. Crops were down and insurance claims up, Oh and I almost forgot, smokers are to blame too, tobacco revenues were down as well. I’m so glad we know who to blame, I was quite sure it wouldn’t be Sheridan or Ghiz – etal.
This government really must think islanders are stupid. Either that or they think the heat got to us over the summer???
This government does do one thing well, coming up with stupid and fanciful excuses for their own ineptness.
