Driving the USA in my Chevrolet, just one of the catchy words used to sell Chevies in the 1960’s-70’s. There were many many more ads just as patriotic as that. GM/Chev were then as American as Uncle Sam or Mom’s apple pie. General Motors were once considered to be largest auto manufacturer in the World. Few Americans would have been seen dead in a Japanese rice runner. Buick-Cadillac-Olds and Chevy were the choice of the North American continent followed closely by the other US car makers. Not so today, many of us now drive imports and this trend almost brought the Big Three to their knees. Only huge government bailouts in the form of Billions of dollars saved GM and Chrysler. Ford struggled on without aid but it was tough times for all three companies. It was US tax payers and even Canadian tax payers that saved them. Now we are hearing GM is back on solid ground and selling cars. Well, that might be true, the worrying question is this, On who’s solid ground are they sitting???How about China! 70 percent of all major auto parts are coming from plants in China and assembled here. GM have concluded deals with the Communist government of China and their car industries SAIC & FAW, both these companies are government owned. This is truly frightening, are we slowly selling out our nations from within? Think about the big stores Wal Mart etc selling some 97 percent Asian made goods that we can’t buy fast enough. We are losing our businesses and industries, and so much more important, our jobs. We are being sold out by greedy CEO’s and shareholders who are making themselves rich beyond imagination. If this continues China will have conquered us without firing a shot, its called a war from within. That frightens me, how about you. If you are in the market for a new car, please consider not buying anything GM. I might be wrong about all of this and I sincerely hope I am. View the attached video and then you be the judge.
