My daughter Caroline started out her travelling life aboard a bicycle with training wheels. Since then her taste in forms of transport have changed a great deal!! Probably my
fault, I taught her how to drive and my own interest and hobby of nice cars (mostly antiques)has no doubt influenced her too. She started out in an old 70’s Ford Mustang, quickly moved into a new 1983 Thunderbird, she hasn’t looked back since. She has owned a list of posh cars over the years and presently has 2012 Acura. Susannah my other daughter, I must have taught her too!! but cars did not hold the same interest and I can claim the responsibility for that. However, It wasn’t because I was wiser by the time Susannah was born, more likely her love of horses. Please allow me to point out there was no cost savings here, horses were much more expensive than bicycles with training wheels. Susannah’s first car was a 1985 Lada that she drove all through high school, Later I replaced it with an 1987 Lada wagon. After the Russian experience she lived off our hand me downs, a 1983 Ford 1/2 ton truck, and later 1992 VW Passat. Thankfully after university she began buying her own cars. Today she drives a 2011 Kia Soul. She must be getting smarter because we also have a Kia Soul !!! Over the years the only parking tickets I received were not found on my windshield but came via the mail from the city police dept. They were compliments of Susannah, who when confronted would say “Oh sorry Dad I must have forgot about that” I’ll pay you later!!!! Seems its not later yet?????
Love my girls.
God Bless and keep reading.
