On Saturday night the clocks were advanced one hour, and spring is in the air. Well not quite yet on Prince Edward Island, we still have a lot of snow in the fields and ditches. In fact we do not really have a spring, we seem to go from winter to summer. Its quite an amazing transformation, one day the land is drab and muddy then suddenly overnight becomes green and lush. My favourite time of year when we still have the whole summer ahead of us. At the moment we are in the drab and muddy period, the time of year when I can’t decide whether to remove the snow tires or leave them on just in case. The month of March has been known to go out like a lion, dropping tons of snow on us one more time, maybe l’ll leave the tires for the time being. Saint Patrick’s day is just around the corner too, I have been saving a 12 year old bottle of Blackbush that I got at Christmas, just for that special occasion! Erin go Bragh.

  1. Still have lots of snow here in Wisconsin. I love early summer and its endless possibilities as well.
