I’m so proud to call myself Irish and so proud to have been born in Belfast. I love all Ireland all the people regardless of religion,I love the beauty of the land. I’m proud of Irish history and the struggle for independence. Sadly we still wait for one Province to join. The Province of Ulster that stubbornly clings to calling its self British. Maybe one day the people will see sense but alas probably not in my lifetime.

Fifty-six police officers and two civilians were injured in clashes in central Belfast in the latest flare-up in tensions between Northern Ireland’s Protestant and Catholic communities, authorities said on Saturday. Many of the injuries were minor, but four officers were taken to hospital after the clashes late on Friday, during which police fired plastic bullets and water cannon after being pelted with missiles for a second successive night. …
