Wes Sheridan who’s only policy to reduce or eliminate the deficit is to once again increase taxes. His latest move is to increase property taxes by 2% which are already higher than the other Maritime Provinces. I’m not sure what his overall plan is, but I can tell him in no uncertain terms, its not working. This is a Finance Minister who invested 4.3 million dollars in a gaming project. Geo Sweep has to date failed twice in the UK market, but Good Ole Wes hangs on by his finger nails hoping it will pick up. The fool is gambling with our money, he is losing and coming back to us for more. It cannot continue Mr Sheridan, people simply cannot afford more tax increases, you are driving many people into abject poverty. Its time you looked at your out of control spending, stop blaming the Feds, the economy, the weather or the opposition. Its time for you to take a long hard look at yourself in the mirror. If you can’t manage the Provinces finances then turn it over to someone who can. I can’t speak for all Islanders, however, for myself and my wife, we are seriously looking at moving to Nova Scotia where seniors are treated a little better. On the bright side Wes, maybe the potato industries deep irrigation wells will strike oil and solve your problems. At least they’ll have as much chance as Geo Sweep. And that is my rant for this week.
God Bless and keep reading.
