I can’t believe it! another snow storm and the Island is closed down again. Today was my volunteer at school day but the schools are closed, I’m not happy but I’m sure the kids are!!We have only just dug out from the Sunday storm and here we are again. Its hard to remember and even harder to believe how beautiful the Warburton Road was in the Fall. Now I can barely see the top of the stop sign at the entrance and wonder if the road will ever be open again. We are breaking all records this year, can you believe that since November we have received 208 centimeters of snow, that is a shade off eight feet. Many years ago when I was planing to immigrate, I considered going to Canada or New Zealand. It would appear I made the wrong choice, but of course back then I thought snow would be fun!!!no one mentioned the part about shoveling. However, winter will eventually end and the snow will disappear, and I will be back on the Warburton Road once again. I really have no regrets to have chosen Canada, I have had a wonderful life here, met the love of my life here, raised our children here and I’m now happily retired here. To hell with the snow, it can’t keep us tough Canadians down, Ooops !!! that should read Tough Irish-Canadians. Well as I can’t go to school today I might as well crack open the Bush!!!!
Its not all bad Arsenal are playing today and its televised.
