Another Review!!

IMG_0001IMG_0002I have managed to find another possible market for my book “The Royal Navy & Me”. It has been accepted into the ranks of other books about the Royal Navy. Maritime Books (Specialist Publisher of Books on the Royal Navy) reviewed my book recently and have agreed it is worthy to occupy space among their large collection of similar books. I will add a copy of the review here for your interest, at least I hope you are interested!!!!!!

Mr Rodgers. has written an excellent book, its entertaining throughout. It reminds me of the -Awful Disclosures of a Bluejacket – by Giraldus with a similar story of joining the Royal Navy as a boy. However, that covered a period many decades earlier than Mr Rodgers story. As an ex boy soldier myself I have a good understanding of what the author went through as a boy sailor at HMS Ganges. However, my service was at a later date and in not quite so hard an establishment. This book covers much of the authors life in and outside the navy, which he joined in 1955. There is a good sense of humour displayed, but as with any life story sadness also. I would recommend this book  to any reader interested in the social styles of the period, especially in the Royal Navy or simply as an enjoyable read.

My book is available at Amazon, as an Ebook at smashwords.com and a variety of local outlets, and now of course from Maritime Books of Cornwall UK. ISBN 1-4392-5452-4

God Bless and keep reading
