Believing in Angels?????

angelHow many people believe in Angels? how many will claim to have seen one? Well there was a time when I thought I saw several. On a Saturday in the summer of 1962 I was a front seat passenger in a shipmates car when we struck a truck at high speed. I put my head through the windshield and ended up in the Naval Hospital. I was unconscious with a very nasty gash in on my forehead. I don’t remember much about the accident or how I ended up in hospital. My first memory was of coming too about 10 am on Sunday morning. My head was heavily bandaged almost covering my eyes, it certainly restricted my vision. I was drifting in a fog, probably due to medications and or the shock of my injury. It was a very strange feeling, I could see and hear Angels singing somewhere off in distance clouds. As my eyes slowly began to focus I saw six or seven small Angels dressed all in white near the foot of my bed. Wow!! my first conclusion I was dead and this was heaven. Gradually my eyes cleared and I could take in my surroundings, instead of heaven I realized I was in a hospital ward. With my evolving focus also came the pain in my head, I guessed I wasn’t in heaven if I was feeling sore. Eventually all was revealed.  A church of England service was being conducted in the ward and my Angels were actually young choir boys dressed in white robes. So my answer is no, I can’t claim to have ever seen an Angel. However, with thirty two stitches in my foggy head maybe I did see something more than choir boys???? Unlikely yes, but could I have glimpsed something beyond my Earthly perceptions!!!!!

God Bless and keep reading
