Yesterday 11th June 2014 Linda took me along with our friends Carl and Jan to Moncton. The purpose of the trip was to visit the Mini Dealership and get my fathers day gift. A Mini Cooper baseball cap, plus an added bonus of a coffee mug with the Mini logo embossed on it. After the dealership we headed downtown Moncton for lunch. On Main Street we came across the RCMP Detachment Head Quarters. The front of the building was awash with flowers of all shapes and sizes,a blaze of vibrant colours and sweet smelling aromas filling the air. Among the flowers lay teddy bears, flickering candles and so many sad notes conveying the sorrow felt by all, the notes were written by both children and adults. It is one thing to see the tragic event unfold on Television, it is quite another to actually stand in front of the RCMP HQ’s and feel the pain and loss. Mini caps aside,I’m so glad we visited the flowers and tributes to our fallen Hero’s. For me it was a very sad and moving experience, yet also very special. A moment never to be forgotten. We Will Remember Them.
