Deep Water Wells Blackmail

blackmailarticle_largeThe Big Two!!!Irving /McCain, blatantly Threaten us, if we don’t give them what they want. If we don’t play their game they will take their ball and go home!!! Sadly we have a very weak leader and an even weaker government who will almost certainly bent to their wishes. If we don’t give them more water they will move to a Province that will. If that isn’t blackmail then I don’t understand the meaning of holding people to ransom. I say No More Water, and if they don’t like that they can go elsewhere. Has anyone stopped to think what it might cost these two huge and greedy corporations to move their operations off the island. A lot of this is a bluff just to frighten us. They hold the threat over the heads of the people they employ, but blame islanders for causing the possible job loss. Who would really want to work for such employers?? I hope the government send them packing, but alas Ghiz will fold and give away our vital water resources for the sake of his Liberal party’s survival. What ever happened to that lovely little Province once known as the “Garden of the Gulf”. Today we have huge tracts of land that look like dust bowls, they are poisoned with chemical spray, lack substance and fibre and can anyone remember when you last saw a big fat juicy worm pop its head out of the soil. The only fat worms you will see today are around the potato industry.
