The statement attached was part of the 2014 Award Ceremonies held at Holland College in Charlottetown on 15th May. It was my last official function with the Duke of Edinburgh Council. I’m greatly honoured and privileged to have been part of this prestigious organization for the past 25 years. It leaves a large and empty hole in my life as I make my final departure . I’m leaving behind my many good friends and such wonderful memories of times gone by. I hope by posting this article I will not be judged as blowing my own horn. Rather,I hope you will see it as a reflection of my efforts to help others and as repayment for the privilege of calling myself Canadian.
