I first landed on this beautiful shore in January 1964 via the Royal Navy submarine HMS Alcide. After serving for two years with the 6th Canadian Submarine Squadron based out of Halifax I returned home to Ireland in 1966. I left the navy and on the 18th January 1967 I stepped off the RMS Sylvannia back onto Nova Scotia shores. In 1969 I moved to Prince Edward Island, met Linda, the love of my life in 1970, we married a year later and have two beautiful daughters. I became a citizen in 1975 and have lived on the island for the greater part of my 75 years. I love Canada, her people, her lush and green lands, her brave history, her rolling mountains and flat plains, this is indeed Gods country. This is my Canada,150 years of Confederation and for me, 50 years of blessed happiness. Happy Birthday and God Bless this Amazing Land Culture and People.
