Well folks it rained hard for the last couple of days and guess what? thousands of fish died in the North River. Now tell me what else happens at this time of year? Farmers spray their crops right? using those ever so safe chemical sprays. After heavy rain we have the usual deadly run off from the fields that have been laced with that ever so safe chemical spray. But if we complain once again we will hear these same farmers protesting that they are very careful, they don’t over spray, don’t spray in the wind. They will tell us the chemicals are very expensive, they are harmless, they have the required buffer zones etc etc. The same old excuses over and over. Yet thousands of acres of potato’s are growing across the island, and very day we see tractors in the fields spraying and every time it rains the fish die?????
How much longer can this go on before there are no more fish left to kill. How much longer before all the birds, bees and butterfly’s are gone. Finally how much longer before we are all dead, the land is destroyed and the island is laid barren. How much longer??????
