Oops!!! did I spell “Order of PEI” wrong???? sorry about that. It is hard not to be cynical when talking about politicians, indeed it is those very politicians that cause the cynicism. Robert Ghiz broke all the rules early this year when he publicly announced that he would award Heather Moyse the Order of PEI. This has nothing to do with whether Heather was deserving of the award. This was nothing more than a blatant act of skullduggery on the part of Ghiz . You might well ask the question, do politicians do anything for others unless there is something in it for themselves. I can imagine that the awards committee had already selected three worthy candidates before the Premier stuck his oar in. One candidate was probably eliminated because of his actions, but I guess we will never know. Lets get back to the skullduggery!!! what was in it for Ghiz and his Liberal Party. Possibly a new glowing, popular and well known Island personality to be a candidate for the liberals in the next election. I can see Heather as a very popular person who would certainly garner a lot of votes. Do you suppose she is being groomed for such a position?? its very possibly. The Liberals may be ahead in the polls at present but that could be more because of a lack of choices. They must realize that if the opposition party`s get their acts together that lead could vanish in the blink of an eye. Just something to think about, especially for those of us that do not trust the Ghiz Government.
God Bless and keep reading
