October 5th 1968 Northern Ireland


A sad day to recall 5th October 1968, it is considered the beginning of the “Troubles” in Northern Ireland. It began when police attacked civil rights groups in Derry. It would continue into the 1990’s with a great loss of life on both sides. What a sad legacy for the people of Ireland

Another page in the struggle for Irish independence not to be resolved, there were no victors in this war only victims.
