What does James Bond and Robert Ghiz have in common??? They both work for a Secret Service organization. James Bond for the British MI5 and Ghiz for the the PLO ( Provincial Liberal Organization) formerly known as the DTTTPO (Don’t tell the Tax Payers Organization) the latter was changed to PLO as the original name was considered a little long winded. The latest bit of transparency from this ever so transparent Government is the Mill River Redevelopment program. Oh this is classified!! so sorry we can’t disclose details about it because of the competitive nature of the project.
“Island taxpayers have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars into Mill River and surrounding areas. We have every right to know what is being proposed. To suggest that every government document somehow impinges on corporate secrets is silly to the extreme. This is the worst form of government abuse. It wants to spend our money but not tell us how it is being spent.”
This is just one more outrage to add to a growing list of things such as the Hills of Borden, Plan B, moving of the Stratford Liquor store, MLA pay raises, New cars for cabinet ministers, fast food bills and patronage just to name a few. Did I mention Fast Food bills?? By the way, these same MLA’s will be quick to tell us their Government did away with patronage. Oh really, then why do the names of , Alan Campbell, Robert Vessey,s Wife (Holland College) and Cynthia Dunsford come to mind. Oh sorry! they don’t count because the government had a hiring process in place and they were the best candidates. My mistake! I thought Mr Campbell was hired over the airwaves minutes after he lost his Souris seat during the last election?? I thought Mrs Vessey received her plum job as compensation for Robert who was upset over not getting a cabinet post. How about Cynthia? well poor Cynthia lost her seat and really needed a good paying job, but hey, she was the best!!!candidate too.
I’m afraid I continue to consider this Provincial Liberal Government as the absolute worse in the history of PEI and Robert Ghiz will surely be remembered as the worse Premier ever.
