Winter comes to Abram Village. Well it had to happen eventually, and today is the day. The Island is closed down, no schools, no ferry, bridge restrictions in place and my newspaper wasn’t delivered! I took the two posted photos through the window, its just too nasty to go outside, especially dress in pajamas. Not too worry, I sent Linda out earlier to check on the heat pump and to shovel the snow off the deck . It is still snowing and blowing, haven’t seen any vehicles on the road yet. We have received about 35 centimeters so far and as it eases off this afternoon will change to rain or ice pellets. This is our first winter experience in our new home and we were not sure what to expect. When you live in the same house for many years you generally know where to expect the drifts to form. You learn whether you should put the car in the garage for the storm or leave it close to the road? Not really a big issue here, its in the garage because we have nowhere to be other than home. The snow blower is gassed up and ready to go should we need to clear the driveway. For now,I’m going to finish my coffee shower and dress, then relax in my comfortable recliner. Ah!!!! life is good.
God Bless and keep reading
