If Al Capone was Around Today

Funny that I should be thinking of people like Machine Gun Kelly, Baby Face Nelson or Al Capone  whilst in the midst of a Provincial election. It is strange and I simply can`t explain it!!! especially with all the GRAND  ELECTION  offerings and promises of open and honest government. Of transparency, integrity, fairness, more disclosure, better access to information, Control of MLA expenses, travel and meal caps, did I miss anything.

If Al Capone was around today he probably wouldn’t bother being a gangster, wouldn’t bother paying off Government officials. Wouldn’t bother running illegal liquor and would cancel the Saint Valentine Day massacre by turning in his machine gun. Al would become a politician might even become Prime Minister or at least Harper,s right hand man. Why risk working for an organization that might shoot you in the back, an organization that might land you in jail. Instead be a politician, don’t do any real work and get regular pay raises, drive fancy cars, credit cards, bonuses, pensions and perks, and all without risk or danger. Al would have been crazy to have done anything else while this amazing opportunity was available. He could even have settled for being an MLA or a PEI Senator,(but wait he lives in Chicago), not a problem, the opportunities and choices were endless. He had all the required qualifications for a host of Government positions, after all he was a highly qualified Notorious Crook!!!God Bless and keep reading.
