On Saturday 30th May Arsenal face Aston Ville in the final of the FA Cup match at Wembley. Happy to say we won the game 4-0 and retained the cup for the second year in a row. I realize that today there are so many other and often more sought after trophies. Such trophies as the European champions cup, the league cups and so on. However I grew up in football before we played European teams or competed in European competitions. In those days there were no huge salaries for players, no big transfer fees for the so called super stars and strikers. For me the FA Cup was the very pinnacle of British football, to win the cup was reason for great joy. I still think of it today as the greatest achievement in British football. I’m so proud of my team Arsenal whom I have supported since childhood and yet never once had the opportunity to attend a game. Maybe someday, perhaps they will tour Canada? Well done the Gunners, ready and excited for the new season in August.
God Bless and keep reading
