It is indeed a dogs life ! My granddaughter Melissa was about five years old when I got Angel (in the photos) and today she is preparing to enter grade eleven. Angel is almost ten years old. We have two dogs, well, they don’t know they are dogs, they see themselves as family with Linda and I as their pets, providers, housekeepers, butlers and walkers.
Yoda(6 years old) like Angel is not spoiled. See how cute he was as a puppy in Courtnee’s arms, Courtnee is married now and a mother herself. Yoda is more a big lump these days rather than the wee cutie he use to be.but he is still cute. Both our dogs are obedient and well behaved? or is that Linda and I?? Seriously we love our dogs and they are indeed family. Our lives without them would be lonely and boring. I doubt we’d laugh as often as we do or walk as often as we should. In short our dogs keep us healthy and make life that much more fun. I know people say they are loud and messy creatures. Maybe so, but many of those same people throw their empty coffee cups and wrappers into the ditches and hedge rows. Our dogs do not pollute and rarely pinch a sausage from the table or a hamburger from the BBQ. Although the latter has happened on one occasion, but then, who hasn’t pinched a cookie from the jar or a candy from the table? Dogs filled the void in our lives when our two wonderful daughters moved on to their own adult lives, and they too have dogs now. Could either of us live without our loyal companions, the answer is a resounding no. A dog is indeed man or woman’s best friend. Treat your dog in a kind and loving way because that is all they understand. But no matter how you treat them they are always happy to see you and will always be loyal to you. That is more than can be said for many humans!
