President Harper?????

haRPER NOSEhuffy duffyEach day the Guardian newspaper has a poll where they ask Islanders to vote for or against. Today’s question was do we need a Queen in Canada, 62% voted no! Well, I’m not a Monarchist but have little feelings either way. The fact we have a Queen seems to work fine and I suppose it makes us different from the USA. However, what immediately came to mind was the Prime Minister visited the island yesterday. Here is a man who cannot ever admit when he is wrong! Probably he believes he is never wrong. He had the arrogance to tell we Islanders that Duffy had a residence on the island and was therefore eligible to be appointed as our senator. Are we to believe that the PM is the only person who did not know Duffy has lived in Ottawa for going on forty years. He had a Ontario driver license, Ontario health card and paid his taxes in Ontario. I would have thought a politician hoping to get votes would have had the good sense to apologize for having appointed Duffy.  Admitted he was wrong to Islanders and promise to correct the error if re-elected, that last part might be a stretch!!! So back to the issue of whether Canada needs a Queen, would you rather we had a President Harper???????Don’t know about you but I’m going to continue singing— God Save Our Queen

God Bless and keep reading
