Time to get back to work and hold the feet of our corrupt politicians to the fire. Transparency was the Liberal party buzz word in the last provincial election, but its not clear to me they have followed up on that???? Transparency not! more like foggy bottom politics as usual. No mention of PNP’s no mention of E gaming just some weak statement about sending it to the Auditor General. A 25 million dollar law suit looms and the Premier pretends its not happening, meanwhile the questionable history of Robert Ghiz is being polished up so he can be appointed to the senate? No one interested in the bridge tolls, Islanders can just continue paying, what else is new. At the very least this government should push for elimination or even reduced tolls for seniors and people travelling off island for medical reasons. However, there is no politician interested enough to even mention the subject, hey I can’t rock the boat my boss (King Wade)would get mad. So we enter 2016 doing much the same as in 2015, at least that part is clear. Finally, I got a real surprise whilst in Halifax this past week. I was asked to pick up a jug of milk at Sobeys and I thought the checkout had made a mistake only charging me $5.65 for the jug. No mistake that was the price, two dollars less than we pay here in PEI. It would be helpful if an MLA would explain why we are paying $2 more for our milk than they do in Nova Scotia. Here I was thinking the island was a farming community that produced more products than we could consume . Do we not export Island milk out of province????? So folks we have lots to do in 2016, get those fires stoked and grab a politicians foot.
God Bless and keep reading.
