I can hardly believe that I have the Mini out of the garage this early in the year. This time last year we couldn’t get near the garage for the snow banks!! Today I backed her out into the weak sunshine and chilly morning air. Went for a quick drive on good clear roads to Cape Egmont and back, so wonderful to be behind the wheel again. The forecast for the weekend is good so all being well I shall drive the Mini to church on Sunday morning. Just a couple of quick checks to do before going on the road again, tire pressures and remove all the dryer strips that I put in the car for the long winter nap. They are a good deterrent against mice making their homes in the interior or trunk. I washed the license plate and installed my new 2017 registration sticker and everything is go. Only downer is I have to keep the top up for a few weeks-months or at least until the temperature climbs a wee bit!!!.
