I’m very concerned with whom the Island might get as our next senator. Quite frankly I’d rather the senate was abolished and the freeloading senators looked for work elsewhere. That, as we well know, is not going to happen, what would they do with has been politicians looking for patronage. So that said, my concern is who will get appointed by Trudeau? Please not Robert Ghiz!!! if anyone deserved this plum appointment less it has to be Ghiz. Easily the worse Premier the Island ever elected. The failed young Premier who left the job before his term expired so abruptly and under a huge cloud of scandal. Ghiz has never held down a real job and would just love to drop his useless ass into a red chamber seat to run out his career. We have already and indeed continue to suffer the embarrassing senate appointment scandal of Duffy and that ongoing debacle. Please Prime Minister if you have to appoint a senator for us, appoint someone worthy and deserving. In fact I’d be tempted to say appoint anyone but Ghiz!!but that might be risky, you could possibly then appoint Wes Sheridan in Ghiz’s place. I don’t favour anyone in particular for the job, but John Joe Sark or Basil Stewart come to mind? The bottom line!!! anyone but Ghiz.
