Disaster Awaits on the North Atlantic
TITANICAs we draw nearer to the Titanic disaster I have been thinking about the City of my birth, Belfast.  I think of my grandfather heating the red hot rivets about to be pounded into the hull plates of the great ship. He worked on both ships,Titanic and Olympic.  Anyway today is the 5th April and Titanic is docked in Southampton(One hundred and four years ago today), awaiting the loading of provisions, luggage and finally passengers. Who could have imagined what lay in store just a few days ahead. I think crossing the Atlantic aboard Titanic one could not have felt safer??? That really brings home the saying, “One day at a time”.

God Bless and keep reading
