A Moment in Time.


titanicsailingOn April 12th 1912 the Titanic set sail from Cobh Ireland to cross the North Atlantic on her maiden voyage. No one aboard imagined it would be her last and only voyage. The photograph of her departing is believed to be the last photo ever taken of this historic ship. Of all the many maritime disasters none have captured the public imagination more than that of the Titanic. In 1912 she was the biggest man made moving object in the world. Although never officially stated the talk was all about the unsinkable ship. On the 15th April she would be at the bottom of the Atlantic taking some 1500 souls with her. When the news first hit the air waves in New York no one believed them, some papers even denied the ship had sunk believing it was a hoax. To think this great ship had foundered was unthinkable if not unbelievable. May the lost souls Rest in Peace.
