My response.

Hi Bruce

As I said earlier I could not open the page to get a better look at this newly proposed family medal. I guess your email was a bit misleading as I thought this was a project from Dominion command. However, I have spoken with Martel’s medal mounting and they sell this for $55 ea, it has nothing to do with the legion. I’ll be very honest, this in no way convinces me this is the answer to blood relatives wearing late loved ones medals. In fact, I feel more than ever determined to see section 419 amended. There is no justification for relatives of veterans to purchase medals simply because its against to the law to wear the real item. When the Legion talk of this diluting the value of a medal they would be better off concentrating on service and commemorative legion medals both earned and or sold by the legion.

Yours Aye F.Ben Rodgers

This BRUCE POULIN need to learn some manners. If he wrote that e mail on behalf of the RCL he is certainly an uneducated, unprofessional man with a sarcastic mind. Instead of resolving a problem he trys to pass of this trashy Martell Medallion. Once again making money on the backs of family members of the military. He is not a nice person. I shall be adding your column to Mondays Paper and forwarding it around our Great Country. A.Robby McRobb a Proud Canadian veteran
