PEI VOTERS MISLED BY BALLOT. By David M Bulger Ret Prof University PEI
His opinion piece appeared Nov 14th 2016 page A7. Guardian newspaper
These recurring themes from our university intellects are really becoming tiresome. I quote David Bulger, “the validity of the result is open to serious question” Really David! a glorious extension of European nonsense? How about New Zealand and Australia, pretty sure they are not a part of Europe. Voters misled? Not me, or apparently a large portion of islanders who took the time to vote.. You can attempt to impress us with your fine education, you can insult people like Mr Hammarlund, who do not share your views. However, I think you have seriously missed the real point. The only actual people that do not want change are the two major party’s. You refer to fringe party’s. Are you suggesting Peter Bevan Baker who won with a land slide vote over a sitting cabinet minister is merely a fringe members. The NDP have been around for many years, a fringe party?? If this had been any other vote, it would have long since passed into legislation. Its all about power David, that is why the Maclauchlan government is waffling. The vote passed so bring about the change as would be done with any other vote.
