A Daughters Love and Support —Susannah

Susannah got the ball rolling with her post, over the next 24 hours we were both inundated with messages, shares and likes. I think my cell phone was beginning to overheat!!

We have no idea of the total contacts we received but we surely had over 200 shares, hundreds of likes and messages of compassion. We did not receive a single negative comment. The battle goes on. Susannah’s post is attached

My father needs a chemo treatment for a rare blood disease. If he had cancer it would be covered. But he doesn’t. Hence it is not covered. The government will not provide the treatment to save his life. Please share. Help us get him the treatment he needs to survive since his government feels his life is not worth saving.

Letter to the Editor —-Health Treatment Denied

Department refuse treatment for life threatening disease. It was not surprising to read the latest poll that puts the Green Party in the lead with 37% , PC s are second and the governing liberals a distance third. My own recent experience in dealing with the government clearly shows why they are so unpopular. I have a life threatening disease (primary autoimmune hemolytic anemia)there is no known cause and no cure. I have only one possible chance of remission by receiving four treatments of chemotherapy , approx cost $17000 . However health dept denied providing this treatment. This is the same government that hands out generous severance packages to politicians fleeing from scandals, they waste millions on Geo Sweep, E gaming.roundabouts, big payouts for scrub land owned by cronies and the list goes on. But hey, we can’t provide you health care because your disease is not cancer and we only provide chemo for cancer.this would be against policy. In other words stop pestering us and go home and die. This is the government that over and over again claims they are here for islanders. I leave you to judge.
God Bless and keep reading

What can I do to support you ? Please anything within my ability. I have so much respect for you please get better. I lived with hep C for many years that treatment was also not covered my doctor was able to convince the drug company to treat me free as I was in a research program for a few years. The cost would have been over 100,000. I am now cured. And Hep C will soon be history in the next 10 years. I thank god for that. Once again Mr Rodgers anything you name it .

Thank you Dave for your kind offer, it is greatly appreciated. Not sure you can do more your support is a good help. I’m fighting hard here on PEI but progress is slow. I may get funding through the Royal British legion and Royal Navy benevolent trust. Approx $10.000 plus dominion have offered a further$1000.i may get a little more from local branches. However to date this is not confirmed and no real money has yet appeared, nothing in writing just phone and emails. Very difficult to proceed until I have actual funds in place.

Onccе yοu elect too freelance, you will also bbe in ⅽharge of your individul schedule.
As an alternative of being certɑin to the nine-to-5 work daay of most law workplaces,
both your every dayy scheduⅼe and your calendar as a whoⅼe will likely bе largely up to yߋu.
Whetһer or not its good to take time off, or whether you wish to take on a heavier workload, freelаncing will meеt your needs.
