Speeding on PEI

I do not know the actual numbers of vehicle accidents, deaths and injuries on our provincial roads. However I’m quite confident in saying it is too many. My own experience of driving from Wellington to Summerside or Charlottetown on Hwy 2 is to say the least, dangerous. I drive the speed limit and vehicles tailgate and or pass like I have no right to hold them up.. I had a car pass me on the inside using the soft shoulder. Cars pass on double lines, on the crest of a hill and in the face of oncoming traffic. Police presence is minimal and I  understand why. Almost certainly it is caused by shortages of officers and lacking of adequate funding. So why do we not have photo radar? is it too costly, to difficult to operate? It would surely slow drivers down, and for those who fail to slow down, well, they’d be paying for the cameras.  This must surely be something for the Police Services  and the Provincial Government to consider
