The Honourable Member?

A title that should give assurance that a politician is a person of integrity, pride and honesty. A person who selected public service with the aim of serving the people that elected him. A person whom is true to the promises made during an election campaign. Noble principals indeed! But rarely experienced by the voting public, whether it be Federal or Provincial governments. I watch Question Period and frankly all I hear are MPs   attempting to be clever in avoiding answering questions posed. Provincial politics are no different, a continuing childish game of one-up-man-ship. I have to believe there are some members who actually attempt to be honourable. However, the party rule and members are forced to follow party lines. What has become of real democracy, of decent people representing the public, of really honourable politicians.  I do understand the job of politicians is not easy, but should we not expect some degree of honesty and enterprise  from the individuals we elect. Should they not attempt to follow through with the promises  they made on our doorsteps. To date I fail to see anything remotely honourable in our federal/provincial governments. My question, should these people continue using the title HONOURABLE.    I have added this last photo of a Provincial cabinet minister giving a citizen the Finger   Respectfully and Honourably Submitted.   God Bless and keep reading
