The Calm before the Storm?

I’m the first to admit my disappointment in the Green Party’s lack of action during the first months of the newly elected PC Provincial government. There has been several questionable issues that should raised protestations from the official opposition. Not the least among these being the Irving land grab in the Bedeque area. Yet to date we have seen very little action, one member did raise the issue of the land sale, it was a rumour at the time and disregarded by the Minister of Agriculture.  Since then nothing, I have email several government and opposition members stating my concerns, but no responses, only silence. Now I’m beginning to think there might be a method at play by the opposition. Can’t do much during the corn boil/BBQ season, the majority of politicians are out making promises, shaking hands etc. After all we are into a federal election mode, and we have some very good Green Federal candidates, no one wants to make an error at this important period. So where does that leave us? Perhaps the opposition is preparing an onslaught on the government once the house resumes. A bit like a snowball fight, before you attack have plenty of snowballs ready. The Greens may well have their snowballs ready to fly? As a member of the party this is what I’m hoping for, but also relying on my faith in our party principles and ethics. This is the calm, hopefully the storm is just over the horizon. God Bless and keep reading.
