Amalgamation

I have talked about this subject before, but it seems it needs to be highlighted again. We hear often about the newly formed Three Rivers. Their need to raise taxes to build their posh new building. A building with offices for all the elected and important new council members. The biggest of which must be for the new mayor. The question that must be put forward is, why do we need another layer of government? This tiny province has more politicians and want to be politicians than any other. I could go further and mention CICs even in these small communities we have people who crave to feel important. To have authority over one’s neighbours, to be seen as clever and knowledgeable. Yet in truth they are not smart merely satisfying their egos. My final word on this issue is this, the only thing these want to be politicians seem able to do is raise taxes. We are already overtaxed to keep our too many politicians on their expensive payrolls. What more can I say?
