The price of gas is going thru the roof, groceries priced so high people are going without. Affordable housing and rentals are all but none existent. To top it all off, thousands of islanders are without a doctor. Indeed, those to do have a GP are waiting months, even years to get their necessary surgeries. I understand many factors are involved in rising costs, in particular fuel costs. I also understand governments can’t do a lot about these world shortages. However, our Premier could ease the burden of fuel prices by rebating the carbon tax. Not going to happen, instead, King thinks a $100 rebate on bicycles, or rebates on heat pumps is all people need. I doubt many seniors are rushing out to take advantage of the bicycle rebate. Likewise, how many will be helped by a heat pump. It seems to me the King government are taking advantage of islander’s misfortune by reaping in all the extra taxes from gasoline, diesel and heating oil. As for this PC government, they certainly are not the government that claimed “its about people” at least not from where I sit.
God Bless and God help us.
