Election Promises

Well of course they had to follow Kings election call, and true to form they did. In fact they came quite rapidly once the election campaign started. However, I have difficulty understanding his latest great health care ideas. He will allow/provide more Nurse Practitioners and medical assistants to work in the emergency departments. He will further provide free tuition the EMS candidates, who will agree to work for a minimum of two years in this province once they graduate. Finally he will provide four more ambulances for the province. What is the catch you ask? Well he will only carry these promises if he is re-elected. The question that really needed to by addressed is why now? Why are these ideas not already in place. If they will help alleviate the pressure on ERs surely they should have been acted on immediately. But then I remembered these are mere promises, not policy, elect me again and I’ll see what can be done? Right!!!
