Monarchy?

The recent coronation cost the British tax payers $170 million dollars. One has to wonder why they continue this huge costly program of Royalty. Some will argue it’s great for tourism, others say it’s long past it’s time and should be abolished. I’m with this latter point of view. Look at recent events in the last couple of decades. The scandal over Charles and Diana! Prince Andrew? And then Harry and Megan. The extraordinary events that have led up to the coronation and the Queen Consort? One might say from a bit on the side to become a Queen. Hard to justify this costly life style of playboys and spoiled little rich boys and girls. Yes, I think it is time for real change, not just in Britain but here in Canada too.
